API standards — the American Petroleum Institute standards programme, which governs much of the equipment specification language used in energy and fluid-system procurement. ProtoRFQ does not claim certification to it; supplier qualification and the certificates a project needs are specified and confirmed in the RFQ.
From prototype review to repeat supply
Energy & Fluid System CNC Machining: From prototype review to repeat supply
Clarify ports, glands, sealing faces, internal passages, deburring, material compatibility, and test responsibility.
Prototype
Review geometry, process access, tolerance risk, and the evidence needed to evaluate the first parts.
Low volume
Stabilize workholding, finish sequence, inspection points, labeling, and packaging assumptions.
Repeat production
Confirm revision control, lot separation, recurring records, change control, and delivery cadence before release.
Buyer questions
Energy & Fluid System CNC Machining: Buyer questions
What belongs in a manifold or valve RFQ?
Send the current drawing and CAD model, material, quantity, finish, critical features, inspection records, delivery destination, and every applicable standard or approval requirement.
How should sealing faces be specified?
Yes, when the drawing and model identify the functional datums, inaccessible features, tolerances, and acceptance method clearly enough for process review.
Can intersecting passages be reviewed?
State the required certificate, lot or heat linkage, part marking, record retention, and whether traceability must continue through outside processing.
Is pressure testing included by default?
No. Product images are manufacturing references only. Supplier qualifications and required certifications must be stated and verified during RFQ review.
Which material compatibility inputs are needed?
A released drawing, native or neutral CAD, marked critical features, material specification, quantity schedule, finish specification, and inspection requirements provide the strongest starting package.
